Oath-taking Ceremony - New batch of Veterinary Graduates for 2016
10 new veterinary graduates, hailing from the university of Gadjah Mada (Indonesia), Massey (New Zealand) and Sydney (Australia), took the Veterinary Surgeons Oath on Friday, 15th January 2016 in the Dept. of Veterinary Services Putrajaya.
They are officially inducted into the Malaysian Register of Veterinary Surgeons by the Registrar, Dr. Norlizan bin Mohd. Noor.
The Council congratulates and welcomes them into the Malaysian veterinary fraternity.
Appointment of New Registrar
Dr. Norlizan bin Mohd Noor, the current director of the Perak Department of Veterinary Services, has been appointed by the Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries as the new Registrar of the Malaysian Veterinary Council, officially taking office from 3rd November 2015.
Dato' Dr. Kamarudin bin Md Isa, the preceding Registrar, has now been appointed as the President of the Malaysian Veterinary Council, coinciding with his appointment as the Director-General of the Department of Veterinary Services and commencing office starting from
2nd November 2015.
VETERINARY SURGEON REGISTRATION FOR YEAR 2017
Tentative oath-taking dates for one-person applicants requesting to be registered as veterinary surgeons in Malaysia are as followed:
Applicants are reminded to check the status of their qualification prior to submitting their registration forms.
Foreign graduates are also required to attach the no-objection certificate (NOC)/Sijil Sokongan Luar Negara (SSLN) from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).

Veterinary Practice Bill 20xx Draft - Public Review
The Council, after reviewing the constructive comments and suggestions to the Veterinary Surgeons (Amendment) Bill 201x - for reasons of clarity and flow, has rewritten the bill in its new form entitled the ‘Vet Practice Bill -Draft 201x’.

and payment by cheques is addressed to Malaysian Veterinary Council or Majlis Veterinar Malaysia (CIMB Account No. : 1601 0000 299 102 or 8600 302 922).
Late submissions after 1st December 2016 will be charged a penalty of RM25.00 .
